这是个惨痛的经验教训。我是通过Barry Plant地产中介买的房。签了合同之后，他们给我推荐了Goodman Group Conveyancing 这个律师行来打理后续事宜。我也没有什么买房经验，也没有提前找律师，所以就用了这家公司。之后才发现，这家公司做事极不专业，效率低，对客户不负责任。我是7月17号settle的，而且是现款买房，没有银行贷款，按理说办理房产证（title)应该比通常情况更快，可是直到现在，已经是10月底了，我的房产证还没有办下来。3个月了!!!太让人生气了。以下是我提交给Fair Trading Vic的一个complaint,有具体的细节。我只想提醒各位即将买房的XDJM们，选择solicitor or conveyancer一定要慎重，这个很重要，如果选好了，可以让你省不少心。选不好，后患无穷。据我所知，通过Barry Plant 或 Hocking Stuart这两家地产中介买房，他们都会向你推荐这个公司的。
Unprofessional and poor service:
1. Two weeks after settlement, conveyancer A emailed me to ask me paying Owners Corporation Insurance Premium which the previous owner should have paid off before settlement but still liable. For the sake of myself interest, I paid off full due amount and got refund cheque later.
2. One month after settlement, conveyancer A emailed me asking another cheque which she neglected to add on Discharge of Mortgage fee on the Land Registry cheque.
3. One month after settlement, conveyancer A asked for additional documents in order to lodge application of first home buyer grant which I posted right away,
4. I phoned conveyancer A shortly after that to check progress and I was told the additional documents not received yet.
5. Phoned conveyancer A after two days to see if she got my mail. She said she got it and would pass my application to the company's agent on same day.
6. Phoned the company and was told my case has handed over to another staff conveyancer B who only works on Friday.
7. Waited till Friday, spoke to conveyancer B, was told she would send my application to their agent and agent usually passes to State Revenue Office (SRO) on same business day.
8. Called SRO, was told application can't be found in system. Called the company, spoke to their manager. She said I have to wait till Friday to talk to conveyancer B, no one can help except for conveyancer B. I requested to speak to senior manager she said she is the only person in charge there and hanged up my call.
9. Waited till Friday and called conveyancer B, was told it's out of her hand and she can do nothing about it. I requested to give me contact details of their agent and was refused.
